Topic: Tactical/Euro Flies
***Even if you participated in our first euro/tactical flies class, this will be new patterns and techniques focusing only on nymphs***
Tactical flies are often thought of as just perdigons or heavy jig nymphs specifically used for euro nymphing techniques, but this category of tying has way more to offer anglers of all styles than is first thought of. This category of tying is not only something that will aid euro style anglers, but will offer anglers/tiers of all styles a unique approach to help understand sink rates and material pairings to achieve desired results on the water. In this class we will discuss in depth hooks/materials/beads and their affect on a flies sink rate as well as action when it comes to nymphs. In connection with these new skills we will also cover items like hot spots, tags and building specific profiles. We will also go through techniques for tying dry flies utilizing some of these concepts in conjunction with alternate materials.
