If youve ever wanted to explore the sport of fly fishing, but arent sure where to start, then this is the class for you! This 2 part class starts off in the classroom and then moves to the river for on the water instruction. Bring the gear you have with you and we can help get you ready to go! If you don't have gear you will have the opportunity to pick up any gear you need between the first and second part of the class.
Our Introduction to Fly-Fishing, also known as Fly-Fishing 101, class will take you through the basics of setting up your gear, accessories, fly selection, knot tying plus much more in a two hour hands on skills driven classroom setting. Once you’ve completed the class room portion plus a short intermission, the class departs for a two hour session on the water. This on the water technique driven portion will take you through casting, different rig set ups, entomology/fly matching and river safety.
What’s provided: Handouts, Knot Tying Materials, Classroom Supplies, Extra Gear
Students to provide: Hat, Sunscreen, Water Bottle, Fishing License, Fly Fishing Gear,
Comfortable Clothing for Outdoors, Pen/Note Taking Supplies
